If you stop paying
Nothing is deleted, ever
The most important thing on this page, and the thing pricing pages are least specific about.
- Projects go read-only, never away
- A workspace over the limit of its plan keeps every project it has. They stay open, readable, exportable and shareable. What is refused is the next new one, at the moment somebody tries to make it, with the limit named plainly rather than as a banner that follows you around.
- A failed card is not a lockout
- A payment that fails keeps the plan while Stripe retries it. Losing access to a fortnight of planning work because a card expired is a punishment out of all proportion to the problem, and the person best placed to fix it is the one being locked out.
- A limit introduced later never applies backwards
- A workspace that is already over a line drawn after it was created is left exactly as it is. Nothing is taken away for having predated the rule.
- Your work leaves with you
- The whole project exports as one readable Markdown file on every plan, including Free and including after a downgrade. There is no version of this where cancelling makes your planning work unreachable.

What people ask before they pay
What does the free plan actually include?
One project, three collaborators on it, and every planning surface the product has. Architecture, wireframes, journeys, components, content, search, measurement and accessibility all work on it, and you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or your editor to it. It is not a trial and it does not expire. What Free does not give you is a second project, which is the honest moment to pay: the work became recurring.
What happens to my projects if I downgrade or stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. A workspace that ends up over the limit of the plan it is on keeps everything it has and goes read-only for new work: existing projects stay open, readable, exportable and shareable, and what is refused is creating the next one. That applies whether you cancelled, a card failed, or a limit was introduced after you were already over it.
Can I change plan or cancel without talking to anyone?
Yes. Changing a card, switching plan, moving between monthly and annual and cancelling are all done through Stripe's own billing portal, reached from your account inside the product. None of it is a support request, and there is no retention flow between you and the cancel button.
What is the difference between monthly and annual?
Only the price. Annual is billed as 10 months rather than twelve, so two are free, and everything the plan does is identical either way. There is no feature that requires the longer commitment.
Is my planning work private on the free plan?
Yes, and on every plan. Projects are private when they are created, link sharing is off until you turn it on, and read-only sharing is included everywhere including Free. Privacy is deliberately never the thing being sold: charging to keep commercially sensitive planning work private would contradict the trust the rest of the product depends on.
Do the people reviewing my work need to pay?
No. Collaborators are counted against the project owner's plan, and anyone reading through a shared link needs neither an account nor a seat. The people whose approval a plan needs are usually the least likely to buy a tool, which is why reviewing costs them nothing.
Why is Enterprise not a price?
Because it is invoiced against an agreement rather than bought with a card, and the terms (projects, people, security review, how it is paid for) are the conversation rather than the product. A number on this page would be a number we would have to renegotiate in the first meeting.
